Joey’s Selling Sunset debut comes after fans saw him attempt to find love on Love Island UK this year. He formed connections in the villa but fell short of the show’s £50,000 prize.
Selling Sunset season 8 episode 4 brings a familiar face for UK fans – none other than Joey Essex. Joey returns in episode 9 of the Netflix show to take a look around a show-stopping property in the Hollywood Hills. According to real estate agent Chelsea Lazkani, Joey is moving from London to LA and he’s looking for the ultimate bachelor pad.
Selling Sunset property is ‘lit’
When Joey Essex hops out of his car and onto the grounds of a $5.2 million property, he has one word for it – “lit.”
Upon first impressions, he tells Chelsea the pad is “…exactly what he was looking for.”
Joey asks: “Is there a nightclub in this place?”
While being super luxe and “sexy,” the Love Island star says he’d happily whip up “sausage and mash” at the mansion.
Fans aren’t convinced Joey Essex ‘is real’
Joey’s Selling Sunset cameo certainly hasn’t gone unnoticed as many viewers of the show take to social media to comment on the property he takes a look at.
One fan tweets via X (Twitter): “Joey Essex looking at a house in LA for $5.2 million on selling sunset before going on Love island too try win 50k has too be satire… he’s not real”
More think the house viewing was “just for show,” adding: “He was a guest appearance nothing else.”
Others share laughing face emojis at the star’s cameo, tweeting: “I was watching like danggg he got that type of money… I didn’t know.”
Joey reportedly has a net worth of £8 million, according to Cosmopolitan. The outlet writes: “He doesn’t need the £50k cash prize,” referring to his Love Island UK stardom.
